This is a medium sized red dessert apple from Devon. It was raised at Broadclyst and introduced by George Pyne of Topsham. It’s an attractive apple with bold red strips over a greenish yellow background, sweet and juicy with clean white flesh. Notable for its good keeping qualities, it will store through to March/April. A good Westcountry heritage variety.
